MammoJam Music Festival

Thanks for visiting the MammoJam Music Festival Website

The MammoJam Music Festival is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting breast cancer awareness, prevention, diagnosis, and treatment programs through artistic and live music performances. Since 2004 supporters have come to Federal Hill's Eight by Ten to enjoy the hottest regional and national bands and food provided by some of Baltimore's top restaurants. In 2009 we expanded that tradition as we welcomed Emmylou Harris and over 1500 supporters to the Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall for our biggest event to date.

MammoJam was created in October, 2003 by two friends who loved live music and had loved ones who survived breast cancer. The idea to combine the two was inspired during the Baltimore debut of a band also touched by breast cancer and by the emotional support of their fans and family. Since that early Grilled Lincolns show MammoJam has used live music performances to promote the importance of early breast cancer diagnosis and treatment and to insure access to these vital resources for the women who need them most. For many like myself, MammoJam celebrates the courage of breast cancer survivors like my mother and the compassion of friends and family members who are all personally touched by the impact that the disease has on their loved ones.

Mammojam is proud to be working with great organizations like the Hoffberger Breast Center at Mercy Medical Center and the Breast and Cervical Cancer Center at Harbor Hospital to provide diagnostic and treatment services for uninsured and homeless women in the Baltimore area.

MammoJam's success is due to our volunteers, sponsors, bands, the 8 x 10 and BSO and the local merchants and restaurants that support our "Grab a Part of Life" grab bags and prepare all of that great food.  We have also been fortunate to have tremendous support from 89.7 WTMD and 88.1 WYPR as MammoJam's media partners.

I hope that you will visit the links on the left to learn more about the great businesses that support MammoJam and to get involved with our organization.

Best Regards,

Bill Romani, President, MammoJam Music Festival
